By Road From the South There are good motorway connections from both Edinburgh (50 minutes on the M90) and Glasgow (1 hour and 15 minutes on the A80/M80/A9) to Perth. From Perth take the A90 the 20 miles to Dundee this is a dual carriageway. Perth to Dundee takes about 20 minutes. At the first roundabout on the edge of Dundee take 2nd exit (signposted Forfar, Aberdeen) follow the road round Dundee. At the Junction with A972 the A90 heads north to Aberdeen at a Shell petrol station. At this roundabout take the A972 forward (signposted Tay Bridge, Arbroath). A few roundabouts further on, at the junction with A92/B959/B961 take 2nd exit at the roundabout onto the A92 (signposted Arbroath). Follow the A92 for 10 miles into Arbroath. At the junction with the Westway, the first mini-roundabout (next to a McDonalds) take the first exit to the left (A933 signposted Brechin). The turning to Hospitalfield is on the right at the top of the hill just up from the mini-roundabout. From the North The A90 takes you south from Aberdeen towards Dundee. South of Stonehaven take the coast road, the A92, sign posted to Montose and Arbroath. In Arbroath follow the signs to Dundee, after passing under the railway bridge and the caravan site (on your right) take the turning to the right at the roundabout beside the McDonalds. (A933 signposted Brechin). The turning to Hospitalfield is on the right at the top of the hill just up from the miniroundabout. For other Route Planning - AA website |
