Hospitalfield CateringHospitalfield has a reputation for first class food freshly prepared on the premises. Menus  include local specialities such as fresh seafood and the famous Arbroath smokie, vegetables and fruit from the house's own organic garden and meat and game sourced from rural Angus.

Special diets are readily catered for and our chef is pleased to work with clients on menus tailored to their event.

Sample Menu Plans

Banquet Menu Plan;  This menu is for a formal dinner in the Picture Gallery, and priced at £37.50pp, and may be used as a guide price for meals served in this format, but dependant on specific menu requests.

  • Arbroath Smokie pate, with dressed salad leaves & oatcakes
  • Roast Rib of Beef, with a wild mushroom & tarragon cream,roasted root vegetables & champ potatoes.
  • Chocolate Terrine, with milk icecream, ginger foam & caramelised rice crisps

Dinner Party Menu Plan;   This section is for 10-16 diners, served in the 1854 Dining Room.
Option 1   A guide price for this meal plan is £35.00pp

  • Roasted Butternut Squash Soup drizzled with truffle oil.
  • Roast Loin of Pork stuffed with lemon, garlic, parsley, and served with mustard mash, glazed carrots & broccoli.
  • Raspberry & White Chocolate Trifle

Option 2   This menu has a more expensive range of ingredients for a special celebration, and is priced at £45.00pp.

  • Warm Lemon Sole Mousse, drizzled with a lemon & chive butter sauce.
  • Beef Wellington, with a rich port jus, served with buttered Jersey Royals & seasonal vegetables.
  • Apple Parfait, with a chocolate brownie, dark choclate sauce & champagne foam

Vegetarian Dishes are available from a wide range of options, including vegetarian & vegan soups; and delicious vegetarian tartes and spicy pulse cakes.

Reception in Picture Gallery; Canapes and wine (priced separately). These may be chosen from the list below, at a price of 8 items for £9.00.

  • Pate en Crut with red onion marmalade
  • Haggis Bon Bons
  • Assorted mini quiche
