Hospitalfield is to host Dundee Literary Festival 2010 and great deals have been negotiated for Friends of Hospitalfield.  This year’s first class literary line-up includes award winning poet and Hospitalfield alumna Jackie Kay, 2010 Costa Prize winner Christopher Reid, Australian author and musician Nick Cave, leading Scottish writer Iain Banks and novelist and Professor of Creative Writing Kirsty Gunn.  The festival runs from 22-27 June and Friends of Hospitalfield will benefit from 2 for 1 ticket deals.

Friends also have priority booking on the Festival School of creative writing from 22-23 June. Places are limited to 20 and booking will open to the public on 14 April but Friends can book NOW and reserve their places by emailing literarydundee@gmail.com

Festival School 22nd and 23rd June  - £125  
We can help develop your creative writing talent at a fantastic Festival School. We’re offering two days of tuition by a range of talented writers, for just £125 including meals and accommodation.

Writers will get time with experts to hone and develop their writing voice, a unique opportunity.

Develop your poetry style with Jim Stewart, learn how to write a short story with Rachel Marsh or taking part in our writing masterclasses with award winning authors, Kirsty Gunn, Cynthia Rogerson and Alan Warner.

We will finish the School with a party for our publication, New Writing Dundee – meet the writers, discover how to submit your own work and take the chance to network with others.

The school will take place in the historic Hospitalfield, Arbroath. Included in the price are meals, accommodation (shared) and all tutoring. The package is available without accommodation for £115.
