Hospitalfield Christmas Open Day

Almost 500 people attended Hospitalfield’s Christmas Open Day on 11 December raising almost £3k to help support Angus’s Grade 1 listed house and centre for art and culture.

An astonishing 90 volunteers helped out – from running the café to providing tours and entertainment. Craft stalls by members of Angus Open Studios proved popular and singers from the Hill Street Singers and also Muirfield Primary made a delightful addition. The new Hospitalfield House book was well received selling 80 copies in 5 hours.

The Trust owes a big “thanks” to events organiser Rebecca Westguard and all those who made the day a record breaker for Hospitalfield.  Plans for quarterly open days are now in hand for 2012 and a new monthly series of “First Wednesday Tours” will start in March. Details to be released soon.
